Ingredients:
Crust:
- 2/3 c. confectioners sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter
Topping:
- 2/3 c. (11 tsp.) melted butter
- 1/2 c. honey
- 3 tbls. heavy cream
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 3 1/2 c. shelled, chopped pecans or walnuts, or combination of both
Directions:
For Crust: Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9 x 12 in. baking pan. Combine flour and sugar in food processor. Add butter and process until fine crumbs form. Pat crust into prepared pan. Bake for 20 minutes, remove from oven.
For Topping: Mix melted butter, honey, cream and brown sugar together. Stir in pecans, and/or walnuts, coating thoroughly. Spread over crust. Return to oven and bake for 25 minutes more. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
